Well, although it's not exactly IN my bed...(Jeez, Tam. Don't you ROLL over??)

..it's always well within reach, eye level. It's always very comforting to look to my left and see the Trijicon's of my Glock 27 looking back at me like two green eyes that never blink. For some reason, alone and at night, dark cockpit--weather deteriorating into a thunderboomer, trying to get to Bowman Field, looking down at those two green "eyes" in an "air-crew" holster has a calming effect on this old pilot. Not really much help in the dark at nine thousand feet---still a calming effect. Who KNOWS why???
