i had a 605 for a while last year it shot great, didn't have any trouble with it. then early this year i bought a 85 it was junk, the cylinder would bind on it, then i noticed the cylinder where the ratchet turns the cylinder (i think thats what it is called) the grooves on the cylinder wasn't done right. three looked ok the others didn't look deep enough. i took it back to the shop, and got me a ruger sp101. i beleive you get bad ones in all brands, i now take a much closer look before i buy. i would still buy taurus if i got a good deal and i checked it real good. right now they are almost as high as a ruger, a 66 i saw a few days ago was $425.00 at my local store a sp101 is $489.00 so if i have that choice i'll choose ruger.
