If anyone had bothered to go through the links that were posted earlier they might have seen the evidence. However far be it that people should be bothered to actually go through those and discover they may learn something or may have to change their mind. Then again, there are those for who no matter what facts and evidence is put in front of them they will not accept them. Willful ignorance is not bliss and "conventional wisdom" is not necessarily wise.

This is not to say that Taurus is superior to any brand. Just that they can stand with along side other brands.
These links are from people who own many brands. That includes S&W and Rugers.
There are also those who choose Taurus and never need to look for anything else. Their needs and niches have been met.
This is not about supposed superiority of any brand. All the gun companies build decent models that serve the owners well.
What this is in part is that the owners of brand x,y,or z are happy and well served by their picks. This is not a king of the hill contest.
Within the links is even a dark side of S&W. Even Ruger had some problems with early batches of the various revolvers. If I have to go hunt that down I will.
Just respect the satsified Taurus owners , which are a majority of them, and let them get on with life. Why come into positive threads and have to go negative on the OP or other posters when there is no need to? Just because it can be done? That is unethical and immoral.
I can go to any of the gun forums and bring the links of past and recent problems that hound certain brands,makes and models.
I can go down the low road that brand X,Y, or Z is trash.
That can't be building anything of value, otherewise they would not be having these problems.
Recently it came to light the LAPD has gone away from the S&W M&P pistols because of ongoing problems. Can bring that article here if need be.
Does this mean that all M&Ps are trash. No. Not by a long shot. Just means that any company can and do have times when things go sour.
You'll never hear every satisfied customer go out and document how well a brand works.
It is a fact that those who have trroubles are more likely to document their dissatifaction with a particular example than the positive ones.
Reason being that there is nothing to report that is negative. Nothing si perfect, but we learn to live with the foibles of varios brands,makes ,and models.
If you cannot be convinced of Taurus parity or quality,fine. That's your call.
For a lot of this the parity is there and sometimes surpassed.
Those that are happy with another brand, no problem. Don't go and denigrate something when it is not called for.
