It's actually something that's been bothering me
a lot (but didn't really seem thread-worthy). There have been a series of attacks/assaults in the Brighton/Brookline/North End areas (basically, different sections of the Boston/Cambridge area.)
And the news reports on this, then says: "Police are giving out free whistles to women in the area, and encourage women to stay alert." And we think we're being protected.
