i've had 2.3/4 and 3" 1100's over the years and the only difference i can find in them is that the 3" only has one gas hole under the barrel--if you ever see a 3" barrel for sale you should buy it because it will instantly make your 1100 a 3"......Dick...PS. i've interchanged the barrels and they work fine.....
