I've deluded myself into the principle of 'filling a niche' idea. You know, for long guns there's the need for 'short range brush carbine', or 'moderate cover rifle', or 'stop him there 'cause it's too tough to look for him in there' rifle, and then the 'longer range rifle' just in case, etc, ad nauseum. Then there's the AR's to play with. Shotguns the same. Stuff for waterfowl, other stuff for upland. Gauges in 12, 16, 20 and 28 all seemingly needed.
And in handguns there's the small BUGs and summer carry models for CCW The mid and full size handguns on my dept's 'approved' off-duty list. And those I thought were neat but not on the approved list. Hunting handguns. Trail and woods handguns. Even stuff to take on the boat.
Plinkers. Classics, like an old pre-mod. 10 S&W. Cheap-but-fun-to-shoot stuff like the CZ 52 I picked up.
And then I had the fortune (or misfortune) to marry a lady who's all for the idea and wants us to get more.
