id maybe not saw it off too much to keep your shot tight and id use a 12 guage loaded with 00 buck shot. the rem. 870 would be a good one for that purpose. i know a guy whose uncle bowhunts bear and carries a sawed off 12 guage in the treestand as a backup

my brother knows a fellow in Germany who hunts boars with a custom 7mm Mauser set over two 12 guage barrels loaded with 00 buck sounds like a very very very expensive gun after hearing a description of the craftsmanship and engraving and it would be heavy as all get out but hey wouldnt that be super cool
