Yes.

Pellet from a Crossman pellet rifle with about 6 pumps. Friend's younger brother wasn't practicing safe gun handling techniques and put it into my thigh about 4 inches above my knee.

After I got done beating him to a pulp I got it removed. Penetration was about 1.5" with a thoroughly flattened pellet.

Just about exactly fifty years ago, when I was 17, I had an 18 year old friend named Lester who I saw shoot himself in the knee (accidentally) while practicing his fast draw. He said it hurt. Does that count?

Lester was a slow walking, slow talking, slow thinking kind of guy, but a damn fast draw, with an even faster trigger finger. If he'd lived in the old west, and been in a shootout, the bad guy would have shot him, and he would have too.

My cousin was drunk (as usual) and acting stupid (as usual) down at the river bank one weekend. Being drunk and armed with his .44 BP revolver and leathers, he dicided to practice his quickdraw. Long story short, he shot himself in the colon and came very close to dying. They didn't expect him to make it, but he did. He hasn't been much on quick draw since.

me and my friend, both 18. we went shooting one afternoon. i had a marlin mod 25 bolt and he had a marlin mod 60 semi auto. we shot until we ran out of ammo. i was empty (i checked) and i asked my friend if he was empty and he said yes. we started walking back to the car, my friend, behind me tripped and his gun went off shooting me in the back of the head and killing me.

all true except for the part of hitting me and killing me but he could have. i turned around and said i thought you checked your gun, he said he did. i grabbed the gun and made sure it was empty. i then threw him the gun and when he caught it i decked him. i walked to my car and took off leaving my "friend" there to make his own way home.

i guess what they say is true about accidents and empty guns. be safe out there.

yep did it to my son.

I am 63.
My high school students wanted to paint balling with me.
“Me taking them all of them on.”
My son wanted to be with on the student’s team he was 32 at the time.
When the referee sounded the whistle I took off running, out of sight of them.
Well I came up from behind and saw my son bent over with his ass to me, looking around a corner.
I thought I would shoot him in the ass so I aimed and fired.
The paint ball dropped and it hit him in the Bal*s.
He dropped like a rock and they were swollen up the size of a nerf ball.
God did I feel bad.
But I won.

When I was a kid of about 14 we used to have BB gun fights. We did this in a field that had a small metal building we used as a fort. Three of us in the fort and three in the field.

I was in the field behind a tree. My buddy Butch stepped out of the fort to have a smoke. He forgot I was hid behind a tree. I shot 4 times before I connected. He was wearing very tight jeans. I hit him right on the nose cone of his crotch rocket. I ain't never seen anybody fold up as fast as he did.

It looked terrible almost instantly. I guess he was checking to make sure it was still attached. That was the last shot fired of the BB gun wars.

I have been hit by two richochets. One from a 22 and one from a 380. Neither one penetrated but they did leave a bruise.

When I was a teen I had the bright idea of shooting my palm point blank with a paint ball gun. I instantly regretted doing that. It hit my hand very hard and felt like I pulverized my palm. No permanent damage or anything, just a painful shock.
Ditto, almost - I thought that my Daisy springer/piston BB pistol was fairly low powered and shot the palm of my hand with it. It didn't break my skin, but left a large welt and was quite painful. Glad that when I was young and dumb all I had was that daisy bb pistol.

Since we are telling our BB gun stories...
In high school, I knew Jack, the kind of goofy guy who was your friend one week, and fighting with you the next.
It happened during one of the weeks we were fighting. A nice summer day, home alone with the doors open, I hear the distinctive sound of a BB gun. I look outside to see Jack sitting on his ten speed, shooting a BB gun repeatedly at my house.
I grabbed my Daisy and slipped out the side door and took aim at his thigh (he was wearing shorts). The distance was a good 25yds. Nailed him easily mid-thigh. Jack shouted, threw his BB gun down and began to pedal off...Not before I put a second BB on his thigh.
I crossed the street and picked up Jack's gun...Whoops, turned out it was a Daisy air rifle pop-gun...looked and sounded exactly like my Dasiy, but unable to shoot BB's.
I saw Jack later, and we cleared up any misunderstanding....The two BB welts on his thigh were something to see.

Back in the 60's I was shot twice with rock salt from a shotgun. I was tresspassing across a neighbors hay field that was posted. I don't know if it was a 12 gage or what, I didn't stop to ask or find out because it was at close range & painful (I had on short pants). I think he was running a still in the woods at the time. I still crossed that field after that incedent but was more careful.
