NATO certified handguns
What are the best NATO approved handguns? I will start:
- CZ P-01 (NATO stock number 1005-16-000-8619) - Glock 17 (NATO stock number 1005/17/114/3969) - Glock 19 (NATO stock number 1005/66/132/7731) - Beretta 92s - Sig Saurer M17 |

You forgot the H&K P8A1. Not that a handgun has much importance in modern warfare but they all will shoot better than the average soldier can hit. Trust me, I was a military pistol and machinegun instructor.

The best for what purpose? Concealed Carry? Home Defense? Competition? Hunting? Plinking? Collecting? Police Duty? Military Service? There are a myriad of reasons why someone might want a handgun and there is no one that is "best" of all of those reasons, only what is best for that particular individual and his/her primary use. Also, why the restriction to "NATO certified" pistols? There are a great number of pistols which are not "NATO certified" that, depending on the individual and his/her needs just as well, if not better, than those which are "NATO certified."

Everyone has an opinion so in my opinion I will take the CZ over any of them, any day, anywhere.

In order of preference
G19 G19X Sig M18 G17 Sig M17 Beretta 92. I wouldn't pay for one with my money, but if issued one would feel well armed.
