TFL's Great & Influential Posts for Posterity

I have thought about posting some of our greatest and influential threads over at www.skunkabilly.com so my friends who come in can read Tamara's story of how HCI wants her dead and why Liz Petersen should have carried, and was going to ask to post links and ask permission to reproduce them on my site when I get back from vacation

I guess the schedule will be bumped up. What great stories, posts, rants, etc. should I post on my site, and I guess I'm asking for the poster's permission to do so?

Thank you.

Dave McC's great - I'd say absolutely indispensable - series of shotgun instruction/tutorial posts.

(Edit: Navy Joe, you must have been posting while I was typing! )

Two of the funniest posts ever were the one when Navy Joe mentioned the "Amish Rake Fight" and the time 444 made a suave comeback on the 'shooting a dog' thread.

Great stuff.

Yeah, but put them all together and you've got... What, maybe a paragraph?

I second Stephen A. Camp's range reports.....most helpful.

I always come here for advise/info on gun purchases. Even though I don't post often, I feel an attachment to this place, and it will truely be missed. Thanks Rich, I really enjoyed my 7 month stay.

How about the famous assault shovel thread???

And how about the immortal "Lines we'd like to see in a horror movie" thread???

And there's another "memories" thread here that's worth looking at...

I'm not going to say "I'll miss you guys", because I fully expect to see all of you at our new site as soon as it opens! Don't be left behind, now!

All good suggestions above

To which may I suggest we include...

Tamara's wit , knowledge and insights. Plus her great sig lines
Pax: always great quotes (see we do read them)
ROTL thread with the brass casing and warships.

We got a great collection of sig lines alone.

What about George Hill's frothing rant against bullet-hole stickers?

A massive rant on something that's nothing more than a minor blip on the display screens of pop culture, done in the way that only Mad Ogre can do.

That post made my evening.

Goet's post about a quick draw in a store somewhere and a pair of britches dropping down around someone's knees, then over he goes, cheeks a-flappin'. "Swish, splat! Wobble, wobble!"

Tamara's collected wit and wisdom. A favorite is "The Incredible Shrinking FBI Round."

Oakleaf's well-written experiences with regard to British gun control and registration should be required reading.

UK Firearms

Truly a sobering glimpse into the workings of the British system.

In the pistol forum, the discussion of why KaBooms & Glocks. We had a real lab animal here who explained the laboratory tests.

In the Art of the Rifle (Art's Rifle? ), the very old discussion of the differences between the Remington 700, Winchester Model 70 and to some extent, Ruger 77.
