Let's see if Bush can get out of his "let's get along" mode. This is horrible. It will have a chilling effect on the economy. Bush will be pressured to act long before he knows what has transpired.

Dennis, I agree.

DFLP is in no position to mount this kind of attack.

In order to carry out this attack you'll need the following:

1) Dedicated people who are educated enough to fly large multi-engine jet aircraft and fanatic enough to die in them

2) An organization tight enough not to leak information to counter-terror agencies

3) Enough resources to support an organization and carry out multiple coordinated attacks on disparate geographical targets.

4) Some place to organize and train for this where you won't draw unwanted attention.

I don't think DFLP has any of those qualities and they are certainly well-penetrated by the Israeli's

My initial supposition would be that we are looking at foreigners (among Americans who have enough education to carry out that kind of attack, somebody would leak to the FBI) and that they are likely operating with covert support from a nation or state.

I pray for peace to all of the citizens who just perished a few minutes ago in NYC at the World Trade Towers simply working to keep their families going.

I trust those yellow-belly terrorists are gloating at their accomplishment.

I wonder if they would have equal voracity in facing those of us citizens anywhere, anytime that are armed and good to go as opposed to those that have zero interest in their endeavors?

This is only the beginning; it hasn't covered the panic, the rioting and looting that will occur afterwards. How can firetrucks and emergency vehicles make their way through the dense smoke and debris?

I just heard on CNET readio that a 4th plane was hijacked, and is in the air on the way to Washington.

What do we do? Shoot it down? The people in it are doomed anyway? What an awful situation.

My sister and her husband live & work in NYC. We can't get through to them, obviously.

My son in St. Louis says there's panic there; he says there are rumors that the Boeing plant is on fire, but they are unconfirmed.

CNN says there's an airliner down in PA.

I don't care what these terrorists "cause" is. NOTHING justifes this crap. These are acts of war, and when the perps and their sponsors are identified, we should scorch their earth.

Keep your families close, load your weapons and stay on alert.
