Speculation:
IF the Palestinians are celebrating, that does not mean they perpetrated these terrorist acts.

Remember how many Americans cheered when Iran and Iraq were killing each other.

Furthermore, ARAFAT has denied involvement (whatever HIS word is worth).

IF the Palestinians did this, I would believe it would be the harbinger of Arafat's demise. He exists as a leader ONLY because he can affect the actions of America. Therefore, I believe it would take a challenger to Arafat, hoping to discredit him and replace him, who would make the Palestinians responsible for this.

Furthermore, the Israelis have infiltrated the Palistinian movement so completely, we would have had prior information and, (if there's a single cajone left in Washington) prevent these attacks (by political action or by force).

Also uncofirmed reports of major gas leak in the area of the WTC collapse.

Not to mention the thousands of innocents. No word yet about my brother and friends. Newt Gingrich on Fox equated this to Pearl Harbor. Let`s hope it awakens our country that we can`t play nice with these mutts.

It has been a long time since I saw something on TV that actually shook me up. I saw it live on Fox News this morning, saw the second plane impact live. Went to see a friend of mine, come back and hear the pentagon got hit and the trade center is gone.

Damn. My teacher let me out of my 11AM class to go call my Guard unit. We are not on alert. Betcha the Air Guard fighter squadrons are scrambled.

What a horrible day.

The United States must change it's policy with regards to terrorism. We have asked Afghanistan to take care of Bin Laden. They refused to act. Should Bin Laden be the source of this, you can bet that he will be hard to get. We need to have a stated policy that we will hold the governments that harbor these guys responsible and will strike at these governments in response. They need to hit Afghanistan as hard as they can as a lesson. It needs to be a very clear and powerful message. We need a clear policy that governments can understand.

This is not over yet. Copy cats will take advantage of this. I hope this is not an excuse to take our guns away, but an eye opener to see that we are all vulnerable and we need our guns so we can protect ourselves..

Brockaw reports that Taliban ambassador to Pakistan has condemned these attacks. States Osama bin Laden could NOT have been responsible. Suggests only a country could affect such a coordinated attack.

The Camp David Accords were signed 28 years ago on September 17. The Israel-Palestinian peace talks that broke down last year finished on September 13, 2000.

We still have power and communications. Damage localized.

We may still have uncontaminated WATER.

We have officially kissed the hindsides of several powers that have promised to destroy us.

The cards have not all been dealt yet.

Looks like more damage and loss already than Pearl Harbor.

Stay off the phones to NY and DC. If you've got family there, I know it's hard, but the jammed lines are not helping rescue efforts any.

Let's not speculate until we have a lot more facts on paw. Spend your speculating time praying for the people at the WTC.

Buzz, I don't know how new this is but I heard that the FBI comfirmed via the FAA that 4 air craft had been highjacked, two hit the WTC, one hit the Pentegon and one crashed near Camp David. 'Tis a bleak and dark day in the US.

My prayers go out for all the victims, their families, the emergency service people working at the various locations, and for our country. May we be strong enough to resist becoming a police state in the aftermath of these attacks. As to those responsible for the attacks, may they soon face the never ending hell of serious retalitation.

Thank God the Sociocratic news services haven't thought to put a camera on the likes of Dashel and Kennedy. But that will be comming, gotta blame this on George too. Want to bet how long that's going to take? Maybe the seed this horrible act plants will be one that rids us of the likes of those nutless wonders. Maybe the rest of America will begin to understand that there can be no peace unless we are strong. Side thought..... wonder if the plane in Pittsburg had another destination and somehow someone messed up their plans?

However, Chairman Arafat appeared on TV, speaking English, lower lip quivering, looking shaken, "'We are shocked, completely shocked." and expressed his sympathy to President Bush and the American people.

The plane that crashed in PA was headed for DC.

The passengers on the plane attacked the hijackers and the pilot tried to ditch the plane - no survivors.

This was reported by a passenger with a cell phone locked in the lavatory.

Eyewitness reports seeing an American Airlines passenger plane which "slammed directly into the Pentagon..."

The plane hit the outermost ring of the Pentagon ("E" ring) and penetrated all the way into the innermost ring ("A" ring).

The crash shook the entire Pentagon building. Fires are still burning (mostly oil) and there is a gaping hole visible from the outside nearly all the way through that side of the Pentagon building.
