Anyone heard of Velocity Firearms?

I bunch of us did a group buy on some AR15 lowers and I'm thinking I wanna make one a dedicated .22lr. While looking at uppers I found Velocity Firearms (www.velocityfirearms.com). Their prices are cheap and I've never heard of them so my gut instinct is to stay away, however I thought I'd ask first. Some of their uppers are made of carbon fiber which I think would make a nice and light rifle...if it was reliable. So what do yall have to so about them? Any other .22lr uppers I should be looking at? I'd like a reliable and somewhat accurate .22lr AR for plinking, without spending too much (I know I'm prolly asking too much).
