Made in America (Texas?) AK-47
While browsing through one of the gun ragazines in the supermarket a few days ago, I came across an article about a made in America AK-47 type rifle (in Texas, if I remember correctly).
These are supposedly 100% manufactured here, and not imports with American parts added on. Does anyone know anything about these rifles: manufacturer? cost? reviews? Thanks. |

I didn't read the article, but maybe they were referring to these?:
Arsenal SA M7 A high quality U.S. made semi-auto AK. with a milled receiver, rugged black synthetic buttstock and pistol grip. Accepts all AK mags. Includes 5 RD mag, sling, oil bottle, cleaning rod and cleaning kit. Click on photo for a full size image. Manufactured with U.S. made parts in Nevada. 7.62x39 Barrel Length 900 mm Twist rate 1/240 mm Weight w/o magazine 3.835 kg muzzle velocity 715 m/s http://www.sksman.com/access/rifles1.html I believe the recievers are made by Arsenal USA (Global Trades) and the rest of the gun is made by K-VAR. I have heard nothing but good things about them. I almost bought one myself when they first came out. I local dealer had several in stock for $599. I was playing around with one and was pretty impressed with it. By the time I did a little research and went back to pick it up, they were all gone and I had to settle for a SAR1. Oh well.....at least i saved some money. Good Luck. |
