Im new to revolvers

i just picked up a S&W 686 4 incher.

ive always been an auto guy until i layed my eyes on this.. couple questions for the pro's, Whats the best oiling procedure, i dont see much to oil, And what should i use to clean the SS.

any help is welcome, thanks in advanced

Nothing really special treat it just like you would your pistol. I for one have used Break Free clp and Kroil oil for real hard cleaning of the barrel and read the manual for your revolver and it should tell you how far you can disassemble it and how to do it and reassembly. Do all this first. If you can get it apart and back together you should not shot it. hehehe
