Gotta stay out of the gunshops
Went to a local gunshop today, a guy had just brought in a LNIB Series 80 colt with box, all the papers and 2 factory mags and put it on consignment. Asked them to call him and see if he would take 625, to my surprise..... he did. Also much to my surprise this is the 4th 1911 I've picked up in the last month and the wife let me get away with it.

Nice gun, I think the economic woes are forcing some people to sell for less than they normally would.

With the exception of the hammer, that's basically identical to my Commander. Over 400 rounds so far and not a single hiccup. You definitely made a good choice!

Congrats on a fine gun.
I have noticed far more LNIB guns popping up lately in shops. I think a lot of rarely shot guns are getting sold to pay bills. |
