sm, I like the version of your story where El Tejon gets the girl.
Well Smoke and I found out Rich's neighbor had a fish pond, not very big , had a waterfall too..."hey we can try out EL Tejon's sushi we stole..."

Rich had run out to get more Shiner Bock CRSam was riding shotgun " Rich- IIRC I remember an alternate Route back in summer of..." - Sam was saying...

This DDG Lady comes over and is all upset " Help ! Folks fishing in my Japanese Garden!!

El Tejon steps forward in pointy boots - "I'm a Barrister" -
The DDG Lady " That's close to what I'd call them boys..."

So while El Tejon rode off into the sunset with the DDG lady...

Smoke and I gave up on fishing....we spied Coconuts...

The Roundtable discussed which caliber is best for coconuts....heck, Smoke Chris and I just went and shot. Some stuff is best learned by doing...

How in the heck did Rich and Sam end up in Atlanta?

SM, we may just have to revoke your posting privileges for that one...

A quick update for those suffering from THR withdrawal: I understand that the whole Jacksonville area is "spotty" on power at the moment. Apparently many of the lines are up, but the feeder lines coming in from lower down in the State are all messed up, and will take a while to fix. Apparently there were plans to bring more power down from Georgia - but guess where Francis ended up after nailing Florida?

Somedays you just can't win...

We'll be up again ASAP, I promise! Meanwhile, give the moderators on TFL a headache or two, so that those of us on THR can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet!

Preacherman

I see you made it home okay....

Forgive me Father I have sinned.
So- do I really have to drink the coconut juice for pennace? How come Smoke gets to grate the coconut and I don't - it was "his" rifle I was using.

El Tejon - started it...he got us out of trouble in the first place....where is that boy? You think the lady would mine if we used her boat to shoot clays off of it. Always wanted to shoot clays off a boat.

Who has a portable trap?

Why is Preacherman yelling...uh oh here comes LawDog, and I don't think he is asking for skeet lessons either....

just easing tensions...

Hurricanes don't vault the Smokies, they just cause miserable, gray, drizzly days here. The kind of weather where you can sit on the front porch loading AR mags all day, and never get a decent break in the rain to go shoot them. Blechh.

Hurricanes don't vault the Smokies becuase it knows to stay out of Tornado country. Then again, here in Earthquake land, we've had a couple of wayward twisters. Please take them back as we're ready for shake 'n bake but not carousel rides.

Right, and we don't get any notice before a quake, like they do for hurricanes and tornados.

nah,
some of us are used to shooting in the rain.

"Shoot in anything except lightening and Torndados" [ The regs say]

I dunno , I thought it kinda fun and challenging to shoot when the lightening hit and the maint shed was hit. When the tornado "appeared" we stopped and took refuge in the Low house. Wind then took the maint. shed.

Skeet field seemed like it was safer than anywhere else...We didn't know we were the only squad "allowed" to continue to shoot. My squad ran 'em , word is that is the reason my buddy the Range Operator didn't call us in. Then again we did provide entertainment for folks....peering from inside -outside.

" Look at them idiots with 28 ga lightening rods, one is even a girl..." [ folks inside]

"Yeah, but they ain't afraid to shoot in weather ...afraid it might hurt overall scores through the season...and they are ALL straight with a 28 ga so far" -Range Operator buddy.

See - throw enough lead at a Tornado - you CAN turn that sucker.

We can do that here because we actually get breaks in the rain.

Well now it shows this message at THR.

Sorry, guys.

Frances was a "near miss" and only came within 180 miles of the THR server here in Jacksonville, but electricity has still been out for more than 48 hours here. At least one power pole in the neighborhood was snapped like a twig, and houses a mile deep and I-don't-know-how-many-streets-wide are black.

We'll be up ASAP. For now, this is running on my laptop via a CD-boot Linux distribution, and is running off battery backup power.

It was nice of Derek to actually set that up to display the message to us all. Good that it all wasn't washed away.

A break from L&P is a Good Thing!

I've been spending some time over at macrumors.com, in their political & war forum. Buncha Kerry lovers, all ragged out over the SwiftBoat stuff...

They'll love the Drudge stuff. http://www.drudgereport.com/dncg.htm

Reporting for duty, Sir! (And Ma'am).

Pretty bad when I can't even spell my own name right, eh?

"This is your brain.
This is your brain without coffee.

Any questions?"

I'm going through THR DT's....oh, the pain...wait...this site is kind of nice...wow...maybe I'll poke around here, too...

Ex-MA Hle,

Glad you found us.
For a box of ammo I bet Tamara or Mal H can fix your username - I think Mal keeps Tylenol in his desk drawer.

Art - I figured you were busting Doves , scoping out and protecting quail coveys...making sure Mr. Buck was still making his "normal rounds".

Bryan - don't give up the day job

Name Change - that was fast.
Now I'm curious as to what kind of ammo Mal ended up with.

Shooting trap in a hurricane!

I am sorry for all of you who have gotten whacked by these hurricanes. But I am looking forward to the remains of Frances to hit us here in Massachusetts. Shooting trap in 60 mph winds sharpens your skills! Everyone see the ads on eBay for a Tupperware container full of Hurricane Frances wind?!?!?

Just a box of ammo?

Boy, did I get ripped off!!!

I ACTUALLY had to say PLEASE!!!

My God, what is this world coming to?

I could have bribed him without have to say PLEASE?!?!?!?

Why didn't anyone tell me this first?

Where's the Brotherhood? The Friendship? The support?

Y'all made me have to go and use the "Please" word.

Sigh. Is nothing sacred?

We have a brotherhood , the Folks here use "please" , "thank you" and "your welcome".

Drives the anti's nuts when they read we have manners , respect and courtesy expressed here.

Driving anti's nuts is a good thing.
