About how much to put a choke in a Mossberg 500

I am trying to find an honest price of putting a choke in a mossberg 500 barrel. I have asked around to the only 2 gunsmiths I know and got an unreal price difference between the two. Unfortunately, I dont' know either one well enough to judge who is giving it to me honest and fair. I asked each of them the cost and turnaround time on placing a screw-in choke into a mossberg 500 barrel that has been cut off. I am starting to think it would be easier just to order a new barrel. Any advise would be appreciated.

A new barrel from Mossberg isn't expensive. Talk to your local gunstore owner.

That is what I am starting to think as well. I have a dura coat finish on my existing barrel but the duracoat is cheap enough to get a match back back to the action. Anyone know where I can get a barrel for a mossberg 500?
