I have a P40 and love it. I had the same problem with chambering a round but mine wouldnt even chamber using the slide release, but after the suggested break in it was great. It is very acurate and easy to conceil. I am glad I did get it even though I first had regret. Trust me you do have to break this gun in before you get comfortable with it. Also it is not a fun gun to take to the range for a long period of time, kicks pretty good because of the size.
