M1 Carbine slide lock lost (Plainfield), help plz
I was cleaning a Plainfield M1 Carbine I've had awhile and somehow the little slide lock pin went flying somewhere. They're not expensive but I was wondering if the Plainfield model has a different fit issue for that part than other manufacturers or can just use the generic. Also, I don't know if it's the Early type or Late type part which are different. The serial number is: 78478
The spring is still in the handle, didn't lose that. I see this on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/385003284333 I'm open to suggestions for the part source, but please also advise on part type I probably need. Thanks! |

Contact the seller whom you listed and pose your question to that seller...I do know that seller deals in M1 Carbines. As for the new or late type, I think it doesn't matter, as field repair packs were issued to the G.I.'s .
