I had a P22 for awhile. Loved the size, accuracy and feel of the gun. Great for teaching youngsters to shoot and as a training gun for adults. Great concept. However that it would have a very short life span. While it was still a good shooter, I traded it off. I personally will not buy another Walther now, of any caliber or design.

For what ever the reason, IMO, there aren't currently any good quality small .22 auto's on the market. For quality you have to move up in size to the Ruger Mark's and the Browning Buckmark's. The Mark's and Buckmark's will last a lifetime + IMO.
