Taurus haters, my 85UL laughs at you. As you sleep next to your 1000 dollar guns, I know that when the time comes to use my gun, it will make the bad guy just as dead as yours will.

Taurus sucks - I'd rather live beside a man with a S&W/Ruger or Colt than to own one.

Free speech makes this a great country! ......Almost.

Your statement may, or may not have volatility, it either shows your gun industry knowledge, or your total unadulterated ignorance.

If you should make such a strong statement, that sounds, either arrogant, or ignorant, as to just to why "Taurus sucks", and to show how smart you really are. (?)

I think I proved my point.....But,....

And about Taurus Quality control? Besides badgering a specific brand, which most people are guilty of.

That specific gun, that's been shot at a range, as a rental. What about how reliable the gun has been?

That is the proof of quality control, and not some "Troll" making an unfair assumption because of a minuscule flaw irrelevant to the guns overall quality, after all, it's not a "Rolls Royce of guns".

That's if you understood anything, of what I wrote.

I unofficially close this thread!

I think the original poster intended this thread to be tongue-in-cheek, and it flew right over your (Elvis)head.

A professor I once had said he judged a mans IQ by his sense of humor; some folks have none I suppose. I wonder if this guy rages at Larry the Cable Guy when he does his bit. If I tell another joke I'll write it a little s l o w e r.

FRnakly, that shows something about their attention to detail.

However, if the gun goes bang everytime you pull the trigger . . . who cares?

I have always had god luck with Taurus.

Ok, Taurus sucks and so does my sense of humor. I'm over it.

Ha, you made a "pun", that was funny.

eek:

Ha, I thought I wrote that pretty well, considering my condition. Hiccup*&*&*

I was expecting much worse of a punishment, for me ranting at 2:30 in the morning.

Sorry, I was out of it, but at least I wasn't driving.

See ya at the range. First shots on me. LOL

How many of us English speakers would have caught a misspelled word in Portugues? I doubt many QC inspectors make spelling their top priority. In my house we keep and bear Taurus revolvers for protection more than anything else and they've worked well for us.

When the U.S. Mint...

makes such a mistake, and they do, even today with all the tecnology available to them, the coin increases in value. Recent example are extra "leafs" on the corn on the back of the Wisconson State quarter and the 2008 Silver Eagle coin with the 2007 Silver Eagle coin stamping on the reverse.

This is hardly a condemnation of Taurus quality. Besides, I'm not convinced the pic was not photo shopped.

The fact of the matter is, in Portuguese magnum is spelled "magnum".

So much for that excuse.

quote "Now, the real question is, just how many Magnuns are out there? I'm guessing that isn't the only one that escaped Brazil."

that is definitely not the only one, cause I own one of those. yeah, not real proud I didn't notice this at the gun shop but how many of us are checking the spelling on their weapons when they buy them?

actually the Mrs picked that revolver out so I'll blame her. interesting thing was when we finally noticed it, we went back and asked to see another from the case. same thing. don't know if my dealer got a special deal on them (I didn't) and bought 'em up. I'm irritated but the gun bang when you ask it to and it wasn't bought for an investment so in the scheme of things it won't really matter.

What exactly does that mean?

Does .357 Magnun mean you should only use .38Spl+P? NO Magnums?

Or does it mean a larger than standard size nun? OR one that is magnetic?

Bashing

I believe it made it into the rental case as a used trade-in or a pawn. It has held up just fine. Some Taurus handguns do that from time to time, occasionally one fails or breaks, just like the Sig did, or the Para Ords, or the (gasp) Glocks. Thank you to all who enjoyed the post, and I'm sorry if I put a bashing on Taurus. They make good, reasonably priced stuff that plenty of people count on for duty and self defense. They just stepped on their foot in this case.

Any company with a brain that wanted to sell a pistol to the Portugeesers! I know somebody can find a Taurus that will shoot - but why would you want to?

Over at the Raging Bull assembly line, making sure that "454 Casoll" was spelled correctly on their barrels.

So this spelling error . . . . does it result in the gun shooting in excess of 200 moa? does it throw off the balance of the gun? does it cause double-feeds?

I love mine

I love my Taurus .357. You won't find a manufacturer out there that doesn't accidentally ship out product that should never have left the factory floor on occasion.

Poor quality control seen in one area is indicative of poor quality control throughout the process.

If Taurus were smart they would take that thing back IMMEDIATELY.
