My new Kahr PM9 PICS
Compared to my Glock 26. I'm really liking it so far. I just picked it up.

Skinny little booger ain't it!
Now, go shoot it! We don't want to here from you again until you have holes in paper!

questions
have you shot it yet?
and would you say its worth the extra money over something like the kel-tec pf-9 or p-11? |

It's only hours old to me. So far I've only dry fired it with a snap cap. For me the smooth trigger is worth the price alone. If it runs reliably, this will be THE gun that I've been looking for. I'll report back after I take it to the range.

I too just picked up one of these guns. I absolutely love the little thing. I've had mine about a week. I've put about 200 rounds through it so far. Expect a jam or two your first few mags. This thing is really tight and has very little slop for a polymer gun and the recoil assembly is substantial. I had 2 jams the first 30 or so rounds... and since then... not a hickup. It just needs to be broken in. The Kahr manual says to give it a good 200 rounds before it's full reliability can be achieved. That being said... it has replaced my Glock 27 as my pocket gun. I mean I still love my 27... but this thing disappears. And it is surprisingly accurate for such a little gun. Sight radius is a little bit of an issue at first... but after you get used to it... it is lethal within 50 yards. I picked up some 124gr Gold Dots formulated for short barrels. The only things I'm gonna add are a pair of Meprolight night sights and a pocket holster from www.aholster.com , I have one of their holsters for my G27 and they are amazing and lightening fast to draw from since they don't shroud the bottom of the trigger guard. You can pull it with a natural grip. They also reduce the "Print" of the gun because of the way they are rounded on top to conform to your thigh. I highly recomend them to the OP.

Great lil guy you picked up. My uncle recently bought one as well... too small for my hand though

I considered the PM9, but just fell in 'love' with the K9 I handled. Something about that extra heft really appeals to me.
I'm surprised the G26 is that much wider. |

I love my PM-9 I have the stainless slide version (well they are both stainless but I don't have the black coating). It has been 100% reliable and a dream to carry. It is such a small gun most people would never expect it to be a 9mm. Usually in the winter I carry my full size USP but I loved the pm-9 so much I found myself just throwing it in a jacket pocket.

+1 on the PM9. The DeSantis Nemesis (not the superfly) makes for a decent and inexpensive pocket holster until you find something you like better.
Interestingly enough the same holster fits well on a J Frame Centennial. Cheers. |

I carry my PM9 quite a bit in the summer, or when what I'm wearing won't permit a larger pistol. While not a range day pistol it is absolutely the finest deep conceal pistol made... JMHO. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the replies! What holsters are you guys using with your PM9? I have an MTAC for my 26 that I could buy another body for but the MTAC seems like overkill for the PM9.

Holster
I don't like IWB much, but I do have an MTAC that I use occasionally. 95+% of the time I pocket carry.
DeSantis Nemesis (chopped a bit) and Magpacker

Very nice indeed. Man, next to the PM9 the 26 looks huge! It's like Lindsay Lohan and Rosie O'donald standing back to back.

Believe me it feels that way too. It's not like you can turn the lights off and they'll both feel the same.

May I ask what you guys paid for your PM9s? I bought a MK9 since I read that Kahr's steel pistols were much better than their polymer pistols. While I really like how the MK9 shoots and the nice trigger, it is a bit on the heavy side. I also do not like the steel frame since mine has developed some rusting from carrying it in my pocket. I am looking to pick up a PM9 or maybe even a PM40. Do any of you guys have any experience with the PM40? I like the added power of the .40 S&W over the 9mm, but snappy recoil in a little gun is bad for follow up shots.

$700 delivered. PM9094NA black DLC with night sights. Add $25 for transfer fee and $15 for NICS check. So $740 total.
