Ruger 40 cal police carbine

Just saw one of these for sale at my local shop for pretty cheap. They seem pretty handy and neat but they weren't around for long. Anybody own or use one? Any glaring problems or just no market for 'em? As I live in the Peoples Republic of California my options for these types of weapons are fairly limited. Any input will be appreciated.

I had one in 9mm and stupidly sold it. Was solid, reliable carbine. The trigger is a little heavy but it's a short pull and works very well for it's intended purpose. I'd love to have another.

How much is pretty cheap? On gunbroker they seem to be asking a premium for them. Not sure if they are getting that, but they certainly are asking it.

That's a decent price nowadays. Seem to be going for 550-600 in a lot of places
