SIG GSR question...

Does anybody have experience holstering the SIG GSR? How badly do the light rail and odd slide contour affect the fit in standard leather 1911 holsters?

I'd drag my holster box to the gun store, but the car is in the shop, waiting for Bavarian gnomes to hand-carve brake rotors from billet unobtainium and send them over by steamship, apparently.

That was my first thought when I seen my buddy's GSR. That light rail is freakin huge comparitively. We tried it in a couple leather holsters thats molded for 1911's and no possible way. We got it in one nylon holster and it was still tight. Nice gun, sweet trigger but good luck finding a holster for it.

I think it would be a better gun if they had not tried to do something proprietary to it.

Sig GSR holster

You can get a proper fitting holster from Milt Sparks or Blade-tech. I've used a Milt Sparks VM2 holster with a similar weapon and there were no issues.
