Where To Buy Original SKS Magazines?
With all the bubba'd SKS's out there, you would think extra 10-round OEM magazines would be easy to find. So far, no luck.
Does anyone know where you can get one? I have an SKS I'd like to return to original Condition. Thanks. |

I found a few on Gunbroker, but none at dealers or Numrich. I'm surprised at that too.

Original SKS' didn't have a detachable mag. Used a 10 round non-detachable mag fed with stripper clips.

Send an IM to Simmoag. I bought a NIW stock magazine from him and it came complete with Chinese packing slip. He might have one left from the two he had for sale. Good guy to deal with too.
edit- He's also in Alabama

I think my 10 round fixed box is still rolling around somewhere ( I just sold off all my detachable mags )... I'm installing one of the 20 round fixed boxes, that I had bought many many years ago, & since I already have all the stripper clips, I decided to go that route instead of putting the 10 rounder back on...
I could be talked out of the 10 round fixed box pretty reasonably... anyone want a simmons 4 X & scope mount ??? how about the spike bayonette / bayonette lug, or a slip on flash hider / compensator ??? or my old Ram Line folding stock ??? or the stock front sight post, or stock rear sight ??? I'm putting a longer pull composite sporter stock on, pulling the scope, & installing a rear Tech Sight, & competition front sight post, chopping my long barrel, removing the bayoneete lug & putting a target crown on it...

Let me check.
If you need one, I MAY still have a spare one in the basement. Back when I was with NRA I really bubba'ed up an SKS and I kept the parts I pulled off it, including the magazine. All of that stuff might have gone over the years, though. E-mail me at [email protected] if you don't hear from me in a day or two.

Numrich

On the left bar, click "Select By Manufacturer," and select "S" for SKS. Choose your model.

Also in need of original SKS 10 round fixed mag
All--
I'm new to the forum. I'm searching for an original SKS 10 round fixed magazine and came across this post. I see the date of the last post is recent and wondering if anyone still has one they'd be interested in parting with. Thanks for your help. |
