What is a "Hellfire" exactly
I have heard different stories from different people here and offline too.
1) Hellfire is something you attack to the trigger guard to spring your finger back and forth to legally allow you to fire in bursts with a semi auto rifle or handgun 2) Hellfire is a mall ninja piece of garbage that isn't all it's cracked up to be and is a waste of money at gunshows 3) Hellfire is an internal trigger adapter that is best not to install because it might accidently make your weapon go full auto making you an instant criminal Anyone have any pictures of one on their gun or otherwise?. Anyone have any personal stories about one? |

I have tried it once before on a friends AK. What a useless tool. If you just want to waste rounds, it would probably be your dream come true. If you want to hit anything, buy a scoped bolt gun. Nick

There are two designs of these legal gizmos. They both function, insofar as allowing a high rate of semi-auto fire. One is a sort of back-and-forth trigger; the other is a rotary deal with a little handle to the side.
The problem is that it's almost impossible to stay on target. The motion of actuating the device moves the rifle around, so the bullets go about everywhere except on the target. Waste of money. Art |

The rotary trigger activators like the GAT Trigger seem to be the best of the bunch. Of course having a hand crank hanging off the side of your gun that could discharge multiple rounds if accidently brushed might be a major drawback.

If you're really curious, you can do a search at the US Patent and Trademark Office website under for all patents under the inventor name "Troncoso; Vincent"... this will get you the patents for Hellfire, TAC-Trigger, Tri-Burst and the GAT Trigger (every one sold by Flash Distributing). The relevent patents have all the information you could ever need about how those devices work from a mechanical standpoint.

It's an optically guided, self propelled, highly explosive, fire and forget message that will be the last the recipient ever gets!

Hellfire?
Let's get some kindling for the cookfire..... Who's on the menu? Does a "spray and pray" device belong in the ART of the RIFLE? Who am I to say? I practice marksmanship, as an art. I try to make every shot better than the last, but I don't always succeed, maybe I need a hellfire...

What is it?? a gimmick.
I put one on a 10/22...for grins to see if it would work
The little strip of spring steel and the small ,flat knob that wedged between the trigger gap and the trigger guard. An waste of money, it also scored my trigger guard pretty bad when it popped out. $1.25 worth of materials for 35 bucks. Ive yet to hear of an ordinary person buying one and having it function like the video says and shows. An incredible waste of money. |

back in the late 80's early 90's I bought something called a "hell fire"
It was the only multiple shot trigger device that worhed for me. It was packaged under the name "HellFire" and not "Hell Fire 2000"
All the device was constructed of was a piece of flat spring steel that was woundinti a circle with a secondary trigger on one end that was shoved up right next to the stock trigger. The rest of the coil was anchored to the trigger guard. The second trigger was fashioned in such a way that everytime it was pushed forward the top of the trigger back causing it to fire. One shot forward, one shot back.

Wrong forum
Ask the Iraqi "Republican Guards" tank crews what a "Hellfire" is. (Assuming you can find one alive )

Fired by the Apache attack helicopter the Hellfire missile is significantly cooler than any makeshift trigger goofball modifications.
Apparently every time the pilot releases one of these little dolls it costs taxpayers something like 80K.
