She's sweet but with the weather I've only gotten 50rds through her.

Got one on order. Not getting it any time soon, but I have the cash waiting. I'll just have to settle with my S&W 327 R8 for now. |

Elvishead,
On order? S&W only made the 627-4 in 38 Super in 2002 for the distributor "Bangers". The first run was of 250 pieces, then later that year they made another 250. 100 were also made for the Australian market. |

i'll pick up a performance center 627 ,5" tommorow. it has the chromed trigger and hammer ,the double grip option and thier beautifull ss finish. i'll wait a bit but then it goes to ford's of crystal river fl.(just north of my location) for a total hard chrome over nickel finish. ford's does classic antiques and some commercial work for a big custom shop who's name i can not think of at the moment but never the less i will keep it as is for a few months to get a feel for the pc authentic masterpiece that it is. one thing i got to say is ,whoever thought of stamping "8 times" on the bbl could not have been thinking straight. ford's will remove that first thing. it's totally unnessecery. i'll make this gun with it's refinish my own.

I have owned a ton of Performance Center guns over the years and liked all of them but the only one I have kept is a 681 quadra ported. One day when money is easier I am going to build me one just not quadra ported.

I've not much of a wheel guy but I've been dreaming of a 627 for years. IMO that is the best looking wheel gun of all time.
