Re: quote on the px4
iv read somewhere on the forum that when purchasing a gun online, you dont have to pay tax, or that the cost of the ffl dealer fee is in a way "substituting" for tax. i live in california. Iv seen some pretty good deals on beretta px4 storms online, and my only BIG concern is thinking that the price is a super deal at first, but then after all the ffl fees and shipping, it wont be worth it! besides the shipping cost and the ffl charge, what can i expect? i would rather not go through a fll dealer and pay them all that money! anybody interested?? hehe!! [email protected].
thanks guys!! |

If you're in CA and buy online from someone in CA you have to pay tax. If you buy from out of state there is no tax. FFL fees around here in San Diego are $40 to $55 plus the DROS fee. Some places will have more reasonable FFL fees closer to $25 or $30. Then there's shipping.
Overall, the prices probably even out buying local vs. buying online if the prices are fair. But if you can't get a fair price locally or if you're looking for something used or something the local shops don't have in stock, online is a good option.

No tax. Just shipping + insurance + DROS fee + FFL fee.

How much insurance you want to ship with is dependant on the value and how it is shipped. Doesn't add much. The DROS fee is $25.
