AR ammo
I plan on buying bulk ammo from ammoman.com, and and wondering which is the best choice. .223 wolf 55gr polymer coated or 55gr fiocchi. Im looking for 1000 rds. I just bought a new RRA Elite Comp and dont wanna unneccessarily put steel cased ammo through it if its really that bad. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
....and if theres a better deal out there im missing please lead me there. thanks |

I don't like Wolf ammo all that much. Not because it is "bad" for the gun as much as it is just lousy ammo. I get lousy results with lousy ammo.
Lousy accuracy, dirty, and an extraordinary amount of blown primers in my experience... I would go to Aimsurplus.com, check out their Prvi Partizan.

CDNN has some Federal XM193 for $200 per 500. More than the Wolf, but also better quality.

XM193 is my primary stash/SHTF ammo.

I found (locally) some Norinco .223 in the yellow box that is brass/non-corrosive. Shoots as good if not a little better (well, it grouped better at 100yds. with irons) than XM193 and felt a little hotter. I've got less than 200 rounds left from about a year ago, it was less than $7.00 a box at the time.

I found a decent deal on ammo at www.palmettostatearmory.com (via ar15.com) I purchased 1000rds of PMC Bronze for $350. Shipping was quick and I've been extremely satisfied with the ammo so far
