My PT92 is my favorite but the PT1911 is vying for the top spot. Nothing like a little sibling rivalry to liven things up.

The Taurus PT-1011 is a fine pistol ! As good or better as its cousin from Brazil...Springfield..with many more features for the dollar.
When will you Anti-Taurus people take your meds and STOP saying something as moronic as."I hope you dont have to send it to Brazil for service ? " Do you send : A Springfield to Brazil ? A Browning to Belgium ? A HK to Germany ? A Winchester to Japan ? A Beretta to Italy ? A Glock to Austria ? A XD to Croatia ? A Star to Spain ? AN Uzi to Israel ? OF COURSE NOT ! ALL have US service centers. Taurus is in Florida...and does a great job ! The process to export for service via ATF & State Department would take FOREVER and getting it back into the States a repeat...not to mention the Fedex OVERNITE each way....cheaper to replace the gun. |

I'm sufficiently mature.
oldcspsarge, I'm sufficiently mature to know which comment(s) to dismiss as useless. My request was respectfully addressed to our "resident experts", and I'm thankful for their input.
It would have been terrific if every comment/input was serious and constructive. |

Couldn't wait...
Well, I just couldn't wait for Saturday or Sunday; I sneaked out of the office and shot 24 rounds from my new PT 1911 today. I was AMAZED that it was so comfortable to place EVERY round in a circle of diameter about 3" of a target placed almost 10 meters from me. I used Winchester ball ammo from Walmart.
Simply put, I don't recall enjoying plinking so much. I regret that I did not take along my digital camera AND that I didn't have more time to shoot off all 100 rounds in the box. |
