So...

if I cross-check TFL IDs with (somehow) addresses, I'll know how to NOT to approach your bedroom, right?

Mak at hand, 1911 closet - I haven't the coins to rebuild my house after a nighttime toot, so the 12 gauge stays put (but available).

Just like my dad, I keep it in my underwear drawer, close to the bed. Tried the under-the-pillow thing for awhile, but the pillowcases get too oily. Not good for the blueing.

For some reason, I just find it amazing (a little hard to believe, actually) that people actually keep a loaded handgun under their pillow.

As for those of you keeping a loaded handgun in an unlocked container, well I'm sure you don't have kids and that you don't live with anyone that you don't trust.

As for me, I keep my SIG P226 loaded with a round in the chamer, in a handgun safe with a simplex lock, right under my bed within arms reach. Takes me all of 5 seconds to roll over and get my SIG in my hands.

I have a holster that fits on a bracket between the box spring and mattress. It's between the bed and the wall - out of sight unless you really look for it, but readily accessable.

357 Magnum Tracker and Glock 17 with mag in but no round in the chamber. Both are in Gunvault's MiniVault which takes me 1-2 seconds to open. 12G 870 in safe five feet away.

I keep my handgun in a makeshift rig attached to the bedd frame where it is in easy grasp if needed. I got the idea from a gun rag cant remember which one it was. Ive had this rig for about 6yrs now and I dont feel comfortable without it.

I voted option 2. You're right, no wife, no kids, no roomates.

Otherwise , answer would differ.
