What handguns do you currently own?

I'm just curious to see what guys currently have in their gun collections. I am mostly interested in handguns, but include whatever else if you like.

Might want to do a search on the subject instead. Many of us have a rather large collection and would take forever to list them.

I'm not one of those however, just saying...

You know, I figured it might have come up, so I did try to search for it prior to posting this. Maybe I plugged poor word choices into the search engine, but I failed to pull up what I was looking for.

Yep.

It's interesting to see how devoted some of you are to certain brands.

How much kick does a 642 revolver have compared to a typical 9mm?

i dont think it is much different in recoil but i have only shot a few 9mm's. my experience is with a glock 17, a ruger P89, and a hi point. i like my revolvers better. IMO the 38+p is a better round and i am more accurate with it out of a snubbie than with any of the three autos i mentioned. i carry daily but my primary is the 4in 686. i feel th 357 is the best SD round in a revolver platform. again these are only my opinions.
and i am loyal to the brands that work for me. i have always had good experience with S&W, HK and a few others but the ruger is my black sheep. i keep it because it was a gift and i dont like ruger products due to bad experience with 4 others i have owned.

I ask because I was considering getting the 642, actually. Surprisingly, they didn't have one to rent at my local range when I was out there.

my GF carries a 642 also and as a new handgun shooter she is very accurate with it combined with Crimson trace grips. i can put 5rds in a pie plate at 25yds with mine and to me thats accurate enough for a snubbie.

Not the whole list, but a couple of the more fun or intersting guns in my small collection;

HK P2000sk - best carry gun made...I love this pistol!
HK USP Elite - Uber Accurate.
HK P7 - Very cool gun.
Walther TPH - Tiny fun gun
Seecamp - A piece of jewery that shoots.
Daewoo DP52 - A wonderful .22lr.
Sig P230 .32acp - Jap. police model, neat gun.
Sig P232 Rainbow Titanium. My brother calls it my "gay gun".
Kahr T9 - The underappreciated wonder gun.

These are the ones I like to fondle a little extra when I clean them or they just make me smile when I shoot them. That doesn't make me wierd does it?

Of course we are. Sarah Brady is currently chain smoking in a darkened room reading this post as I type.

I've got 8 handguns split evenly between revolvers and semi-autos.

In today's political climate that is - unfortunately - a reasonable question.
There is a certain pleasure in sharing with others things that we own that give us great pleasure but I wonder - I didn't used to be paranoid - if these forums are monitored and if so to what end.
I own both revolvers and semi-auto pistols in the common calibers from .25 ACP to .500 S&W. The calibers that I don't own are .380/.41. The firearms themselves are from a variety of manufacturers; I have no particular brand loyalty or preference..
