Pre-WWII Llama .380

Pre-WWII Llama .380
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm looking for info on a pistol described as a pre-WWII Llama .380. I don't have a lookup source for LLamas older than the 1950's.

Slide is stamped
Gabilondo Y Cia Elgoibar (Espana)
Cal 9m/m (380) "Llama"
S/N 81xxx, Eibar proof marks.

Anybody know of a website for pre-WWII Llama pistols?

Thanks, Herb Fredricksen herbfred@cpcug.org

Herb, based on the description of your Llama pistol it sounds like yours is a Llama Model III which was produced from about 1936 until about 1954. The Model III was a 1911-type pistol chambered in .380 ACP and did not have a grip safety. In excellent condition a Model III might be worth about $200-$250. Hope this helps!
