Quick posting tip please

Question, how do I get a picture to appear when I post a reply to a thread instead of attaching a file with a link. I see it all the time and cant figure out what Im missing. So how about a quick lesson.

Near the bottom of the reply window is a browse button that lets you attach image files to your message.
I took a screen grab and highlighted the area of the screen where the attach option is located.

Posting pictures that manifest once the thread is opened isn't overly difficult either, once you know how it's done.

If it's a picture already on the web:

First you right click the picture and choose "properties" from the list of options that will appear. Once opened, the properties option will have the address (URL) included. Highlight the entire address and rightclick to copy.

Second, when you're posting and wish to include that image, choose the "IMG" icon from the list of options above and clear the box that will crop up (will have HTTP included, just delete it).
Paste your copied address and presto... the image is included.

Picture from your computer?

Find a photo hosting site and register. Upload your images to your (hopefully free) account and then follow the instructions above.

caliban, thanks that part I already knew about. Was just wondering how to have the pic show up when someone opens up the thread and reads say a response by me and the picture is included in the reply.

Lenny, you'll have to have the pic hosted by another website in order to do that. Then, click the 'IMG' button above and fill in the web address (url).
