Wilkinson Linda Carbine New Information
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that, after an exhaustive internet search and several phone calls, there is new hope for Wilkinson Linda Pistol and Carbine owners! The Wilkinson factory was purchased in 2001 by the Northwest Arms company located in Idaho. I called them yesterday and they have all kinds of parts and accessories available including the elusive magazines. They are also marketing a New Linda Carbine 2 ......but get ready to ask your wife for a loan on this one......$2800.00 a copy I hope this helps anyone who....like myself.....couldn't resist owning a goofy, 5 pound pistol. By the way, they are selling a barrel and stock kit to convert your pistol to a legal carbine! |

You can reach John with Northwest Arms at 208-722-6771. They are located in Parma, Idaho. I just spoke to him this morning and they are in the proccess of moving. He is on the road right now and doesn't have access to his price list but he said he should be ready for sales in about a week.

The originals didn't work worth a damn, why would anyone pay anywhere near $2800 for a new one? Especially with a market full of reliable semi auto that do work at substantially less money.

Don't clean guns while sitting in a Layzboy chair.
I bought a little 22LR Baby Browning style Wilkinson pistol used a few years ago and lost a spring in the chair somewhere. Just by chance I saw some Wilkersons at a gunshow and found myself talking to the new owners from Idaho. I asked him if I could purchase a new spring for that used pistol and he took down my address and a week later a new spring arrived. Free. I don't know about the other Wilkerson guns but the new owners are great. Edit: Um, sorry. Just realised the posting dates.

Weren't they originally in the $500 range?
These things were supposed to be really accurate. Target pistol accurate. In a 70s/80s type, SMG looking plinker. IIRC it had its own magazine...those cannot be cheap now |

I used to see those Linda pistols selling for around $400 used at gun shows every now and then in the '90's and early '00's. I almost bought one once, but couldn't figure out what I'd do with it. I was into collecting assault pistols then, but the Linda never quite did it for me.
On a side note, I like the term "assault pistol". I see nothing wrong with this term and it seems to nicely describe big blocky pistols that looked like they could have once been sub machine guns (whether they had a full-auto brother doesn't matter - it's just a look) |
