Tru-Glo front sights

Just got a new Buckmark with tru-glo front sight... Anything I should know? Care? Do they need to be replaced etc.? I know nothing about 'em other than my eyes see it well (compared to the red dots on my Beretta.).

You have trouble seeing the front sight which is only 3' away ??? I had a glow sight on my Benelli which I threw out after one squirrel hunt. In the shade it wasn't too bad but in the sun it glowed like a neon bulb. Two different sight pictures was un acceptable. The same was true with my M29.The difference between black sight and orange was 2 clicks at 50 yds !! In the sun you were actually pulling down the barrel to see the target because the sight glowed so much.

At 50 I still have 20/20 vision but need reading glasses. So I see the target perfect but the dots blurry. Visa versa with reading glasses on.
