reborn ex-LEO 870
Earlier this year, I picked up an ex-Sacramento Police Department 870. Very smooth action, but terrible finish with signs of rust. As the price was right, I decided it would be a good base for a basic HD shotgun. I can't walk away from a slick older Wingmaster.
Here's the list of goodies: Hogue short LOP stock Surefire Picatinny forearm with mag pull rail covers (thanks WildAlaska!) LaRue Battle light Meprolight tritium front bead Wilsons 1 shot extension CQB stock cuff Mac's Shootin' Irons Tuff Gun refinish While I also have a CQB sling, I don't mount it in the house. As she looked that day I took her home. Meprolight bead All prettied up The LaRue light. Nice low pressure tap with my index finger lights things up Sacramento PD markings and a nice grey gun kote over parkerizing finish The rail covers are actually pretty comfortable

Do you have a web site for the shell holder on the stock. It looks cool. Thanks. Oh, and nice job by the way, killer gun.

The butt cuff and sling (sling not attached while it's on HD duty) came from these guys:
http://www.spectergear.com/ The light came from these guys: http://www.laruetactical.com/marketp...ent(SplashPage) WildAlaska came through for the great deal I got on the Surefire forearm.

Man that light is neat! Tell me more. How does it mount to that forearm? What mods, if any, did you need to make? That looks better than the surefire IMHO.

It's a picatinny mount. The neat part about the light is that the mount and body are one piece. The tail cap and head detach and it can be used with a seperate hand held body.
It's an LED so it will not put out the same light as an equivilant Surefire 3 cell light, however, at 20~30 feet I have not found a significant difference. It will absolutely stun someone if you zap them in the face at 15~20 feet. It's bright! Just lacks the range and light spill of my Z3. The LED should prove much more recoil resistant and will have much longer battery life. Time will tell on the recoil part. LaRue's mount system is neat and solid. Their reputation is growing. The Surefire forearm has left, right, and bottom rails so you can move the light around to suit your tastes.
