It's almost a shame to shoot something that pretty.
Congrats on another beaut Bullrock. This is so cool, you shoot more guns than most gun writers. |

Bullrock, how do the wooden grips mate with the gripframe? That was a major defect in the first run of Stampedes. I had splinters and red spots from the illfitting grips on the Stampede I tried. The polish is certainly better than the one I had too. I believe you have a good one!

Sir Will, the grips mate fine...The finish is out of sight, I luv this gun!!!
![]() BTW, this is my first in a very long time. I alway break down, clean, and lube my new guns. Looking at the Beretta manual it only says wipe it down. What say you, Sir Will???

I am a bit bonkers about cleaning and lubrication. I usually strip the revolver down, spray everything with carb and choke spray cleaner and blow dry all parts. I use Teflon grease for the action internals, a small bit will go far. I tend to lube the mainspring with Remington spray oil too. I put a drop of Singer sewing machine oil down the transfer bar also. I generally use Kiwi shoe polish to protect the wood grips too. I use Flitz to polish and protect stainless and nickel finishes. I use a carnauba wax to polish and protect blued finishes. Turtle Wax or Color Back both work well. I also use silicone spray if I am out in the elements.

Very nice looking single action you got there Bullrock. I have yet to fondle one of that make in my travels. I am also interested in the generic boxed Winchester Silvertip ammo in the photo. What is the story with that? Again great looking six shooter I hope it gives years and years of joy.

Thank you GLK. The Winchester boxes are full of Winchester .45 Colt, Cowboy Loads. The Silver Tips came from another box...

BullRock,
Naw . I have a rig that I can't wear the belt, was given to me and it's for about a 42 or so waist size. But the holster can fit on any rig that you may buy in the future. I bought another rig that I use for my Vaquero and the GP-100. Wayne |

Bullrock - I've seen what you've been buying lately. You are going to need a Stetson and a Bandana soon. Oh yes, and a horse.

As I posted on your other (Ruger) thread, beautiful guns--in this case both! I'm trying to remember, does the Beretta have a wider trigger (than most SAA clones and of course Colts)? Looks like it. Think I heard that. How wide compared with the Vaquero?
