Mak at the range

Took the Bulgarian Mak out to the range today...

started out @ 7 yards and was going for 15 but it was HOT! The range I was at had no overhead cover

I was also shooting th New Kimber

here are the Mak groups in order

I used Brown Bear JHP ammo

Try Fiochi ammo. They will scare you.

Hey RamCharger...what about Fiochhi???...or however it's spelled...I'm thinking about ordering 500 rounds for my Makarovs. Decent stuff?

Maks are typically as accurate as the shooter can shoot them. One thing is they can be EXTREMELY ammo picky. Most of mine have shot well with Barnaul or Hornady. 1 hated Blazer and the other hated Wolff. Just wouldnt group with them....but would one hole with other ammo.

My wife has taken out gallon jugs of water @ 50 yds with hers....like 4 or 5 of them out of 8 shots. Its all how much you pratice with them.

Shoot well.

That is pretty good for a Makarov. If you had to use as self defense, all of those patterns would have dropped the attacker dead everytime.
