I live about 130 miles away from Freeport and 78 from Houston to the east which is the projected landfall..so dont stop to fast on the road...I may run into ya

Not sure what I am going to do yet. I work for the military so we have some prep to do also. My boss made the decision.... evidently the higher headquarters didnt get the concept that evacute is before the storm not during...lol

We will be on the bad side of the Hurricane. Im not to wooried about flooding since I live on top of a hill. if it floods my house the Super WalMart at the bottom of the hill will be completely underwater.....

Am worried about the wind....may send the wife and ma in law ahead if it looks like the worst.

Some words...for the Murphy Oil Company nest to the WalMart. While everybody else was raisng prices they kept thiers at $2.46 a gallon
both filled our cars up tonight.

Here We Go!!!

This may be the wrong place to post this, but I am asking all of you to pray for us down here on the Gulf Coast. My office is in Port Lavaca, TX and according to the National Hurricane Center....we just might be ground zero for this storm known as Rita. I believe there will be a mandatory evacuation of this area within the next 24-48 hours. I am heading north to my home located north of I-10 to wait out the storm. I am planning to close and board up the office either late today or by noon on Thursday.

Those of you who will be affected by this storm:

May God protect you and your families and keep you and your families from harm. May he spare your homes and property and if you travel from this area, take care of you.

In Christ's name I Pray
Amen
