BDay present for myself...help pick!

Okay turning 20 on the 13th, so help me pick my Bday present to myself. I know the legality of Handguns and "minors" but my parents say if i can bleed for my country (OOORRRAAAHHHHH MARINES!) they have no problem w/ registering another pistol for me (this will be my 4th handgun and 16th firearm).
Thats outta the way, down to the choices:
Im trained w/ the POS M9 so thats gone as a choice
So its a nine milly either P99, FN High Power, USP9 Full Size or some other mid-sized nine.
Any suggestions? (no glocks i hate the damn things!)
BTW, i have the Witness Carry Comp in .45, CZ75B in 9, MRI Baby Eagle in 9 (full-size) and a SW 686-6. My pops has a Browning BDM in 9 and my mom has a KelTec P11 and a Glock 19. Those are all out, okay?

Thanks and Semper Fi!

If your folks are footing the bill, get another .45--maybe a Springfield Armory GI model? Or, a Browning Hi-power. Or some other Browning design. But what do I know, I just might be biased . And I also hate Glocks

Just an idea--if you have narrowed down the choices already, add a poll! Everyone loves shamelessly casting their vote .

USP................compact!

I have a USP 9mm fullsize, and compact, the USP 9mm is kind of a big gun, it was designed for .40S&W, and when they made a 9mm version, they didnt shrink anything, just made the slide weigh about an ounce less. but the USPc 9mm, or P2000 would be great, small, accurate and still holds 13rounds in the mag. i perfer my USPc 9mm over my USP fullsize. and its also smaller then the Walther, and i think FN you mentioned.

Of the ones you've listed, I kind of like the P99. My question is this: You already have several very good modern handguns so why do you want another so bad? Would you consider instead a nice vintage piece like a Luger or P38? If you're not stuck on a 9mm, a nice 1911 or one of the many fine pocket pistols like a Walther PP or PPK, 1934 Beretta, Mauser HsC, or 1903 Colt would also be good choices.

A HP is kinda vintage (GP-35 as in 1935). I like their grips but damn i like the walthers as well. What about other designs?
As far as the 1911 goes im getting my gandpas when he passes on. he carried it from normady to berlin and killed two Nazis with it. Greatest man ive ever known...

If you're considering 9mm, I personally prefer a SIG 226 / 228 / 229 (if that's not obvious by now ), or the aforementioned HP.

Sigpro - never shot one, not the biggest fan of polymer handguns anyway

239 - too small, IMHO (but I have large hands)

You already have a CZ 75. I have one too. I bought it to scratch that hi cap nine itch and I like it very much. I agree that the Walther has a very comfortable grip angle but I like my CZ enough that I can't rationalize another Wondernine. I can't see any point to another gun that will do the same thing but I like the old stuff for the history behind them. The luger was the first auto to be formally adopted by any major power and has the most comfortable grip angle of any auto ever made. It is also one of the most inherently accurate autos there is. A P38 was the first DA auto to be formally adopted by any military so it also holds historical interest. I can't rationalize a BHP because it looks and feels so close to my CZ. BTW, I'm not some old geezer preaching about the good old days. I'm actually 18.

I might take care of that ccw type 9 itch i have w/ a sig p239, but the walther is a top contender.
What else is out there?
Btw, I was taught there was only one pistol growing up, the .45 1911...i dont like the idea of a 9mm 1911...its too beefy for a nine imo.

Thanks and Semper Fi!

How about a .44Mag Model 29?
If you already have a 686, the next logical step up is a .44Mag.

Well, if the big bore wheelie is out of the pic, then I'd suggest the Hi Power.

Dress it up with a set of Spegle grips from cylinder and slide.($65)

Dress it up isn't really 100% fair - the thin Spegle grips make the Browning a very slim svelte package. I find the stock grips a bit chunky.
