1911 newbie question
I am considering purchasin a kimber warrior as my first 1911 style pistol. My reasons are 1. I am left handed and it has the ambi saftey. 2. Integrated tactical rail. 3. I like they way they look. I am not new to pistols as I shoot they M9 fairly regularly, and have also shot the FN Fourty-Nine. I Wil not be carrying this concealed, it will be used for fun on weekends and may be carried in a backpack on accasion. Is there anything I should know specific to this weapon, or is there something better for me?

Kimbers are fitted pretty tight and have great accuracy. You won't have a gun that's considered "broken in" until 500-1000 rounds. Before that time, Kimber considers some occasional malfunctions in feeding or extracting to be "normal". Run full metal jackets and either Wilson or Kimber mags (Chip McCormicks) for best results during the early phase.
Congratulations. Nice gun. |

I'd love to get one. Out of my price range. You're one lucky person if you can swing one.

Rhino-
I don't have a warrior, but I do have a Kimber TLE/RL II and I love it! No complaints, and worth the money if you ask me.

I don't like useing my kimber for fun on the weekends cuz i got one lil scratch on it and it ****** me off. I you mean from home to range only sure excelent pistol, but if your like me and carry one arround in the hills and while hunting i'de get a cheaper one like a springfield so you don't hate yourself when you scratch it like i did. Scratches on beautiful pistols like my deagle .50 and my kimber bring a tear to my eye.
