winchester94 3030 at academy sports?

Im new to this forum-just registered and got on today,i started looking for winchester 94s when i read that winchester was not going to make any 94s model 70s and 1300 shotguns any more, i looked at all the walmarts in my area for 94 (3030 cal) finally found one at a walmarts in arlington tx-promptly put it in layaway-was at academy sports looking around-one of the salesman in the sporting goods dept said they had some 94s on order-should be in the first of march-maybe some of the last ones from the factory before they shut the doors just thought id pass on the info -if any one is still looking for a 94 you might want to check out academy sports and outdoors-im going back this weekend to see if they come in ,the price he gave me of 264.00 is cheaper than the one i put in layaway at walmarts

I wouldn't worry too much about Winchesters going the way of the Dodo. They already have several NEW models coming out this year so I'm sure someone somewhere will be building them - probably not in America though!

don't forget that there are many fine, lightly used 94s to buy...I just bought a new in the box 1956-made 30-30...I missed not having one!

was that the academy off arbrook by the parks? i'll go by there tomorrow.

in answer to christx question,it is academy on arbrook by the parks-if you get there before i do this weekend let me know how many they have left,i might pick me one up there instead of walmarts
