Have not shot only held them in the shop. They are the same as the higher priced Browning Pro. You might do a search under both monikers.

Felt good. Trigger in the DA pull is stiff. Everything I have read is positive.

Almost picked up a used on for $275 but just didn't have the cash.

Servo:

I have the Browning Pro-9 version and am very happy with it. Good accuracy, flawless functioning (zero failures in 500+ rounds), excellent trigger.

As rellascout suggested, do a search here-there have been several threads on the Browning/FNP-9 (all positive as I recall).

Any comments on the Single-Action-Only (SAO) version of the FNP-9 that's just now becoming available. Looks to be a somewhat 'modern' version of a single action Browning Hi-Power, minus the hammer-bite.

Very ergonomic, very accurate and quite well made. I'm hoping to grab on in .45 ACP here soon. My buddy has a 9mm and I love shooting it for him.

I have the FN HP-SFS . Took a little getting used to, but utterly reliable. It has fed and fired every reload I ever put in it with no malfunctions yet.

i've had one for 5 mo. utterly reliable....great ergonomics......exposed hammer and ambi decocker is much safer than glock IMO.

this has to be the sleeper of 2007. USA made.

After reading so many praises, I bought one. Haven't made it to the range yet, but what I've seen of this gun, I like. It's good solid pistol, no bells, no whistles. I think it will do well. Especially since it comes standard with 3 magazines. I'm surprise there is so little talk of this gun. It's a sleeper, much like the SigPro.

I dry fired one at a gun show - it had the smoothest DA pull I've ever felt on a DA/SA semi auto w/ a hammer.

Come check out the FN Forum

Fnp-40

I had the 40S&W version, or FNP-40, for a while. I put about 1000 rounds through it without a single FTF/FTE. I eventually swapped the pistol for a 10mm 1911. I think for modern space age plastic guns, there probably isn't anything better...

Hello. If it might be of use, here is an evaluation I did on the FNP9 a while back:

Best.

I have enough 9mm's, so as soon as I get my hands on of the the new FNP-45's, I'll be on it like white on rice! It's one very good looking pistol, and if it handles anything like the 9mm, I'll be madly in love with it.

Yeah it was me. Surprisingly, the forum has a automated message that comes up that discourages replying to old threads.

I was curious if anyone had any comments on the newer (recently available) single-action-only (SAO) version of the FNP-9.

Nice thing about this pistol is the modular assembly; very easy on owners/armorers. Anything in it can be quickly and easily replaced. Almost as easy as Glocks, and better in some ways.

The fire control unit (hammer/sear) pops in/out. Even the front/rear frame rails are easily replaced w/o getting a new frame. Pop in and out and are only $4-8 each.

I got the FNP 40 and never had an issue. It's become my carry gun in the cooler months.Wish I could carry it in the summer but it's just to big for a T shirt.

CDNN still has them in 9mm and 40cal Stainless slide with 3 mags.

Anyone have a photo of the new single-action-only SAO version of the FNP? I'm curious what the safety looks like as compared to the decocker in the original DA/SA FNP.
