1.5" Groups 1st Time Out Hk Usp45

I tried my new USP45 (Hogue Handall grip) with American Eagle 230GR FMJ, and after a few mags to get acquainted, I managed to put 2 mags into a 1.5" group at about 15 meters, then 3 mags into another 1.5" group.
My 25 meter group was 4.5", but I'll probably improve that a bit when I get the adjustable meprolights on, and add "Agrip" to the Hogue Handall grip.
I doubt if the Sig 226 that I never fired would have done better, and I really enjoyed shooting a 45 for the first time.
I was curious about the recoil, as some of you may be.
For me the flip up was much like my old 9mm CZ (as long as you have a firm hold on the gun) and the push back was about 1/2 of a full load .357 magnum in a 6" revolver with full shroud, but without the muzzle flash and powder burns . Looking forward to shooting lighter loads and adding speed.

Sweet!!

I just got mine the other day and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I am a die hard 1911 guy and never liked polymer guns. A guy at the gun club I blong to let me shoot two mags out of his .40 and I was shootimg tight ass groups at 20 yards. So, I went out and rented the .45 and OMG I was sold. I went out the next day and bought one. It's my opinion that if anything you shoot that good you should buy. I rapid fired 10 rounds at the target at 10yards and hit the head with every shot!!

The HK USP200 .45 is a great pistol. It make a Glock look like a pinto while the HK is a Cadillac!!! I see so many used Glocks out here in Arizona it isn't even funny. It's a rarity to find a used HK USP .45ACP.

Have fun with that pistol because I know I sure as hell will!!!

it's nice to see that after 95 years, finally we have another 45 cal pistol that can shoot 1.5 inch groups at 15 meters...

THat's what I get with my 460 dollar SA 1911. but hey, the HK is a cooler gun I suppose...

Can you cram 12+1 rounds of .45 in that Springfield, then lighten both the gun and the recoil, then give it all of the trigger and control options the USP has?

I picked up a USP45F about 4 months ago. It's easily the most accurate pistol I own. It was with a heavy heart that I put my trusted 1911 away and put the USP on the night stand.

The only thing I didn't really like about the USP was the rail. It's not a standard pic rail, which limits your choices for lights/lasers. GG&G makes an adapter rail that locks into the USP rail and allows you to use lights with the more common picatinny rail.

Of all the handguns I own (four of them by Heckler & Koch), none is as beloved as my full-size USP .45. Supremely accurate, reliable, ergonomic, durable, and handsome. Mine is the stainless model; and no, it ain't for sale!

That is absolutely outstanding accuracy and I must commend you on it. Congratulations!

Now, since you mention it; I'm going to presume that the "about 15 meters" distance mentioned is a measured distance because you are presenting this information for all of the members to evaluate. The "25 meter group" is also noted.

I admire you for your accuracy and only request that you confirm that the distances quoted are measured and accurate. We all respect skill and just wish to confirm that the figures quoted are correct so that we understand this fully.

Yes I measured the distances

Yes, for my own information, to progress with this new gun, I carefully measured the distances. Otherwise it would be of no use to me or to anyone else. I'll let you all know what happens when I get the adjustable meprolights on and the Agrip.
