I was doing some cleaning, thought I'd take a group pic.

What's the story on the 10/22? It looks like a fun shooter.

The 10/22 is fitted with a Butler Creek "feather weight combo". This is a 18" carbon fiber barrel and butler creek synthetic stock. I absolutely love it. No problems to date (bought in 2000) and it's an extremely accurate. It's not fitted with the most precise optic, but the Bushnell "Trophy" 6 moa red dot has never failed me, and has kept zero for many years. It is an awesome carrying rifle, weighing in at 5lbs loaded.

A "carbon fiber" barrel is a steel core, the rifled barrel part, wrapped in a polymer/composite mix which differs from mfg to mfg. Awesome heat dissipation. This is a good option with weight is an issue, but often results in higher cost. The Butler Creek model is a bargan in the carbon fiber world, often toted as "low quality", I have had no problems whatsoever, and it has made a drastic improvement in accuracy over the stock barrel.

That's a great collection and assortment. I'm surprised you have a couple of handguns. I thought those were rather hard to come by in Canada.

Actually, you'd be surpised. Every major manufacturer with a barrel length over 105MM is available.

I have a CZ SP-01 Tactical on order, and have been eye balling the XD-9 Tactical and S&W MP-9.

Nine,
How do you like your (Hogue, I presume) sleeve grips on your Ruger KP97DC? Any problems with the rubber surface against clothing when carried?

Very nice, eh? The only thing that surprises me is that your 10/22 looks to be a lot more accurate than the red dot on top of it. Have you ever put more precise glass on it? I bet it's a tack driver.

Phxdog Can't legally carry up here. Yes it catches.

I have had a 25 shot 30M group that would fit under a nickel. (of a bag of course). I love this set up, not taking full advantage of the barrel, but more than makes up for it in carry and fun plinking.
