Poll reveals a landslide of support for Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter, hated by the leftists like no other than perhaps George W. Bush, has the overwhelming support of the American people, a recent poll reveals. That information is no surprise, given that her latest book Godless: The Church of Liberalism made #1 on the New York Times bestseller list the day it hit bookstore shelves.

Bottom line: Ann Coulter says what a large majority of the American people are thinking.

There may be hope after all...

Poll: Huge Support for Ann Coulter

Breaking from NewsMax.com

Ann Coulter's new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" has created a storm of controversy, but an online poll sponsored by NewsMax.com reveals that Americans overwhelmingly support Coulter and strongly disagree with her critics.

In the book -- which shot to the top of Amazon.com's list of bestsellers the day after it was published and has debuted at the #1 spot on the New York Times nonfiction list -- Coulter criticizes four New Jersey widows who pushed for an independent commission to investigate the 9/11 attacks that killed their husbands, and backed Democrat John Kerry for president in 2004.

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis," Coulter wrote.

Hillary Clinton immediately lashed out at Coulter for what she called her "vicious, mean-spirited attack" on the widows and said the book should have been called "heartless."

House Democrats from New York and Long Island signed a letter demanding an apology from Coulter, and two New Jersey Democrats sought to have the book banned in that state.

NBC's Matt Lauer also went on the attack against Coulter when she appeared on the "Today" show, and the New York Times said her book is "in need of flogging."

But the NewsMax poll - which drew more than 90,000 respondents from sites across the Web, such as Drudge Report and the New York Times - shows that the establishment assault on Coulter and her book did not change many minds.

The huge majority of respondents to NewsMax's poll - more than 8 out of 10 surveyed - believe Coulter was right in criticizing the four 9/11 widows from New Jersey.

And the tens of thousands of respondents overwhelmingly agree that media coverage of Coulter and her book has been unfair.

NewsMax will provide the results of this poll to major media and share them with radio talk show hosts across the country.

Here are the poll questions and results:

1) Was Ann Coulter wrong in criticizing four 9/11 widows known as the "Jersey Girls"?

Wrong: 15%

Not wrong: 85%

2) What is your opinion of Ann Coulter?

Favorable: 87%

Unfavorable: 13%

3) Do you agree with Hillary Clinton that Ann's book is "vicious" and "heartless"?

Yes, agree: 13%

No, don't agree: 87%

4) Has the media coverage of Ann Coulter and her book been fair?

Fair: 18%

Not fair: 82%

5) Of the three, who would you trust for news and information?

Katie Couric: 10%

Ann Coulter: 86%

Al Franken: 4%
Regarding Al Franken, who was asked in an interview by Bernard Goldberg, "What do you think of conservatives?" He replied, "They're all a bunch of m*****f***ers who should drink poison and die."

How tolerant, openminded, rational enlightened and compassionate.

Sorry, but a NewsMax poll, with all its political leanings means nothing. In addition, I support Ms. Coulter on most of those questions, including her critizing the 9/11 widows in NJ. If I took that poll it would show me supporting her. It is all in the questions.

At the same time there is a big difference between critizing and saying these women are "enjoying their husbands deaths." Her statement was uncivilized and classless. I don't care what those on the left say. Franken, Moore and his ilk are incapable of diginifed rational discourse. Just because the left has no character though does not mean I have to support someone on the right who also behaves poorly and she has.

I have no problem with that statement. Of course it is interesting that Newsmax uses that one as the "offensive" statement but ignores the one where she says how they are "enjoying their husbands deaths." Coulter has shown herself to be classless and NewsMax has likewise shown itself to be lacking in journalistic integrity (and I don't care that ABC, CBS and NBC are as well).

How much of these millions that these widows have made off their husbands deaths have been given to charities?

According to a recent poll I conducted*, 95% of Americans think there is more than adequate reason to impeach Bush, the sooner the better.

My point: polls are meaningless.

Don't suppose it has something to do with all the folks who came on this forum and urged us to vote for her....nah....
I also notice that I opened a thread on her and it was promptly locked because there were "too many Coulter threads". I guess there's not too many all of a sudden.

Agreed (removed the sentence that I don't fully agree with but I understand your point ). Polls have little meaning in the first place but when they're conducted online they're even more meaningless. It would take me about 45 seconds to write a batch file that would vote against Coulter in that poll twenty thousand times in the course of an hour.

Ann doesn't care about polls, she's laughing all the way to the bank.

Thank God we have such a wealth of fair and balanced reporting from CBS, NBC, ABC and the New York Times...

Just because they have no morals does not mean we must be the same.

Even if the poll were on any of those sites and regardless of the results of the poll it's still grossly unreliable. Like I said, it would take less than a minute to write a small batch file to automatically submit answers on that poll with a different email address and zip code every ten seconds.

That poll doesn't speak for America.

He He..... I love the fact that Ann has so much power over the liberals.

Now all of a sudden polls don't mean anything

The truth is, America loves Ann Coulter.

Coinneach, every time I see one of those "Impeach Bush" bumperstickers I have to wonder just how the owner of that car thinks he would like Cheney.

Oldphart,
No doubt. But in a manner of speaking, Cheney's pretty much who they've got now....

This one turned out about as mature as most of the other threads about Ann Coulter.

"Blah, blah, blah?"
