Bright stainless vs. Satin stainless
Just wondering if bright stainless usually brings more than satin(or brushed)stainless. I have a Colt Government Model .45 bright stainless which I bought for $500 back in '95. It is the enhanced model with beavertail and rubber grips(not Gold Cup). I rarely see any of these while on the gun auction sites while I do see plenty of the satin ones. Has a couple of small scratches which may rub out with some Flitz. Not for sale as I love it, but just wondering if anyone can ballpark it's worth. Thanks.
Callahan PS: By the way this piece was manufactured in '90.

The Colt bright stainless pistols and revolvers always cost more, and bring higher prices.
They cost more simply due to the amount of hand polishing needed to bring the metal to the mirror-bright polish. |
