Yugo AK47 - Pistol Grip Different?

I have a Yugo AK47, it looks exactly like this:

The pistol grip that came on the rifle is comfortable, but not in the best of condition. I decided to go with a regular pistol grip and ordered one like this:

The new pistol grip seems like it is at a slightly different angle and did not include hardware. The bolt for the original has a larger head that will not fit in the new grip. Im gonna check out the hardware store and see if I can find something that will work, even if I have to turn the head down on a lathe.

When trying to install the new grip with the old hardware just to see if it would go it seemed like the angle was different and didn't want to go. I didnt want to try too hard seeing the bolt wasn't long enough to fully seat anyway.

Has anyone with a Yugo AK47 been able to change the pistol grip out?
If so please give me details and a picture if you have one.
Thanks!

You know, I don't remember who was selling them, but over at AKforums dot net, there is some guy named "Mario" as I recall who had some he moulded up with finger grooves etc pressed into them.

Personally I think the standard Yugo pistol grip is about the best there is for the AK. 'Course everybody's hand is different.
